Children’s Theatre of Elgin offers interactive workshops that teach theater skills, explore imagination, and help increase confidence on stage and off, not to mention the fun with other kids who love theater!
If CTE cancels a workshop, parents will be notified by email along with a rescheduled date and time. If student is unable to attend, CTE will provide a full refund of fees, minus credit card fees.
Due to the necessity of acquiring essential workshop materials, no refunds will given less than five days before the workshop date for any reason.
Announcing Our Audition Workshop For Our Upcoming Show, James and The Giant Peach Jr!
Thinking of auditioning for our spring musical?
Want to start doing theatre but don’t know where to start?
Love hanging out with your theatre friends?
Then save the date for our audition workshop! Participants will work on songs and scenes from our spring show, James and The Giant Peach. Plus, they’ll get to meet the director, get audition tips and advice, and spend an afternoon having a blast with theatre activities! If you’re unsure about auditioning but still want to attend that’s great too! All experience levels are welcome.
2 Workshops will be available:
Saturday, January 13, 1 pm – 4 pm
Open to students in 2nd through 9th grade

Pre-registration is required.
Participation is $75. A discount of 25% will be given for each additional participant from the same family. Scholarships are available – please email office@cteelgin.com for more information.
Auditions for James and The Giant Peach Jr will take place January 22nd and 23rd. Workshop attendance is not required in order to audition. James and The Giant Peach Jr will be performed April 12-14, 2024.
Workshop cancellation and refund policy:
If CTE cancels a workshop, parents will be notified by email along with a rescheduled date and time. If student is unable to attend, CTE will provide a full refund of fees, minus credit card fees.
If parents cancel a student’s workshop registration due to illness or other emergency, parent must contact the CTE office at 847-214-7152 or office@cteelgin.com within five (5) days of the class to receive a 75% refund, minus credit card fees if any.
