We are so happy to be producing theatre in-person again! We missed all of our amazing cast, families, and audience members! Health and safety continues to be our top priority, and we are committed to keeping everyone as safe as possible while participating in our programs. We are also under an obligation to adhere to protocols put in place by Elgin Community College, of which we are an In-Residence Ensemble. Therefore, effective December 1, 2021, the following protocols are being put into place.
We are requiring that all students, staff, and volunteers participating in our programs either upload proof of COVID-19 vaccination or provide a negative COVID test on a rolling seven-day basis. CTE will send an email with a link to participants to upload their vaccination card or their negative test securely prior to their involvement. This includes cast members, parent volunteers, and show staff.
Audience protocols are currently under Board review and will be finalized prior to January 1, 2022.
Only one upload of a completed vaccination card is necessary.
If someone is using the weekly testing option and they are actively participating in a show, a test will be required every seven days on a rolling basis.
If they are planning to attend an in-person meeting or other in-person CTE/FVTC sponsored event, a negative test must be submitted no more than 24 hours prior to attending. The test needs to have been taken no more than seven days prior to the activity they are attending.
Each show will continue to have a detailed safety plan outlining social distancing needs, mask protocols, and procedures pertaining to illness and/or positive cases of COVID-19 in the cast, staff, or crew. Please contact your show’s production coordinator for a copy of the show safety plan.
