Disney’s Descendants: The Musical Auditions
Open to performers in grades 2 – 9
Based on the popular Disney Channel Original Movies, Disney’s Descendants: The Musical is a musical jam-packed with comedy, adventure, Disney characters, and hit songs from the films!
Imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost – home of the most infamous villains who ever lived – the teenaged children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil have never ventured off the island… until now. When the four troublemakers are sent to attend prep school alongside the children of beloved Disney heroes, they have a difficult choice to make: should they follow in their parents’ wicked footsteps or learn to be good?
Auditions are open to Grades 2-9. Shows will take place at The Hemmens Cultural Center in downtown Elgin.
Auditions will be held January 20th and 21st at Journey of Hope Church in Elgin. Limited audition slots are available and will be reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once all audition slots have been filled, a waitlist process will be in place. Callbacks will be Friday, January 23rd.
Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 PM to 8 PM and Saturdays from 11 AM to 4 PM. Exact times, call list, and locations will be shared with the cast after the cast list is posted. NO ABSENCES are allowed during the week of Tech rehearsals starting Monday, April 13. School shows will be on Thursday, April 16, and Friday, April 17. The show will run from Friday, April 17, to Sunday, April 19. Cast members are not allowed to miss any performances, which include our school shows.
