Upcoming Auditions

We are excited to announce that auditions for Beauty and the Beast are OPEN! This show will be open to all ages from 2nd grade through age 20.

Auditions will be held from 12:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 10th, at Journey of Hope United Methodist Church (formerly Epworth United Methodist Church).

If you are unavailable during the audition times, you may submit a video for your audition instead of attending the audition in-person. Space is limited due to social distancing requirements, so don’t delay!

Registration deadline: April 6th

If you are submitting a video, it must be submitted by April 8th. Please register prior to make sure you receive all necessary instructions regarding your video!

Show dates: June 18th, 19th, 25th, 26th, 7:30 p.m. and June 20th and 27th, 2:00 p.m.

Shows will take place LIVE and IN-PERSON at the Wing Park Bandshell.

The show participation fee is $260. Payment plans will be offered at registration, and discounts will be given for enrolling multiple cast members from the same household. Scholarships are also available – please email office@cteelgin.com if you would like to inquire about a scholarship.

Audition & Participation Expectations

Please review the information on the Auditions page to understand our expectations and be prepared. 

Cost of participation

Payment is due on the day of the first rehearsal. Parents may either pay in full or enroll in a payment plan by the first rehearsal date. After five calendar days, a $25 late fee will be added to the student’s registration. After calendar ten days, parents can no longer register for the show.

Cost for Beauty and the Beast: $260

Cancellation and refund schedule:
100% refund given if cancellation is communicated 1-6 calendar days after the first rehearsal date. If enrolled in a payment plan, CTE refunds the 25% deposit paid at registration
75% refund given if cancellation is communicated within 7-13 calendar days of the first rehearsal date. If enrolled in a payment plan, CTE keeps the 25% already charged, but does not charge the remaining 75%
50% refund given if cancellation is communicated within 14-20 calendar days of the first rehearsal date. If enrolled in a payment plan, CTE agrees to not charge anything further, but keeps the two 25% installment payments already made.
No refund will be given if cancellation is communicated 21 calendar days or more after the first rehearsal date. If enrolled in a payment plan, parent agrees that the card on file will be charged the full amount at the time of cancellation.

Additional expenses: Cast members will be required to wear jazz shoes during rehearsals. As it gets closer to show time, cast members may also need a basket to hold their costume items and props and their own make-up and hair supplies. Information about other costume needs will be provided after rehearsals have begun.
