Children’s Theatre of Elgin offers interactive workshops that teach theater skills, explore imagination, and help increase confidence on stage and off, not to mention the fun with other kids who love theater!
If CTE cancels a workshop, parents will be notified by email along with a rescheduled date and time. If student is unable to attend, CTE will provide a full refund of fees, minus credit card fees.
Due to the necessity of acquiring essential workshop materials, no refunds will given less than five days before the workshop date for any reason.

Announcing Our Audition Workshop For The SpongeBob Musical!
- Are you registered to audition for The SpongeBob Musical OR want to learn how to audition in general?
- Interested in doing theatre but don’t know where to start?
- Love hanging out with your theatre friends?
Then this workshop is for YOU! Work on songs and scenes from our November show, The SpongeBob Musical. Meet the director, get audition tips and advice, and spend an afternoon having a blast with theatre activities! All experience levels are welcome.

Open to students in 2nd through 9th grade
Centre of Elgin, Aerobics Studio
100 Symphony Way, Elgin, IL
Registration closes on Thursday, September 11
Pre-registration is required.
Participation is $75. You may apply a 25% discount code when registering one (1) additional participant from the same family. For two or more, please contact office@cteelgin.com.
Scholarships are available – please email office@cteelgin.com for more information.
Workshop attendance is not required in order to audition. The SpongeBob Musical will be performed November 21-23, 2025

Workshop cancellation and refund policy:
If CTE cancels a workshop, parents will be notified by email along with a rescheduled date and time. If student is unable to attend, CTE will provide a full refund of fees, minus credit card fees.
Full refunds are offered up to 24 hours before the class begins. If parents cancel a student’s workshop registration due to illness or other emergency, after that time they will receive a 75% refund, minus credit card fees if any. 75% Refunds are available within five (5) days of the class.
