Mary Grace began her journey with CTE/FVTC in the 2010 production of Hairspray and she immediately fell in love with the company. During her time with FVTC, she was in shows such as Joseph, The Phantom of the Opera, and The Little Mermaid where she played one of her favorite roles of all time, Ursula.
After graduating from the company, Mary Grace became more involved in the production side. She choreographed CTE’s production of Aladdin in 2016 and has been choreographing and directing for us ever since! Her shows include High School Musical (2018), Godspell (2019), and most recently our production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in the Park in 2021! She made her directing debut with us in 2019 with her production of 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee CTE/FVTC, and everyone involved gave Mary Grace her passion and excitement for theatre. So much so, that in 2018 she graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Musical Theatre. She has worked all over the Fox Valley area with different companies, and she continues to audition as theatres begins to reopen after COVID.
In her spare time, Mary Grace also teaches private voice and dance lessons, and is ALWAYS looking for new students!
“I love encouraging performers to go for their dreams and to express that in their performing. There is nothing like getting up on that stage and taking someone to a different world for 2 ½ hours, and to be part of that is truly something special! Thank you CTE/FVTC for being an outlet for my creative self! You really change the lives of so many every single day.”
