children's theatre of elgin / fox valley theatre company

On behalf of everyone at CTE, we want to thank Catie Early for serving our organization so diligently as its President for the past six years.  Since she stepped into the role in 2017, Catie has led with heart, determination, empathy, and most of all, a passion for providing wonderful opportunities to young performers. As an alum, and later as a CTE parent, she always brought a personal love for the organization and its traditions, and also sought opinions and viewpoints of others to help CTE/FVTC keep growing and innovating. She led the company through many changes, including the COVID-19 pandemic, and brought a spirit of creativity and ingenuity that led to new and different types of performances, workshops, and initiatives.

Over the years, she has dedicated hundreds upon hundreds of hours as a volunteer, overseeing grants, business operations, Board strategy and growth, and serving as the head of the organization. While she will remain on the Board, this is the end of her term as President, and we thank her for all she has done in this role for the company, our families, and our participants.

Thank you, Catie!

“It’s been an honor to serve as the President of CTE over the past few years. Thank you to all the board members I’ve had the honor of working and collaborating with, to Elizabeth Niemeier who has been and continues to be the glue that holds us together and the grease that keeps us moving, and to all the families who trusted my ability to lead this incredible organization. I very much believe that organizations like ours benefit greatly from different points of view and a variety of leadership styles and I am proud and excited to continue to serve on the board under our excellent new executive board.”
