From Yellow group in American Spirit (2007) to Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical Jr. (2013), and a total of 19 CTE/FVTC productions along the way, children’s theater has been a huge part of Tracy’s life and upbringing. Though she no longer participates in theater, the memories, friendships made, and lessons learned during that time will stay with her forever.
One of her favorite productions was The Little Mermaid in 2011. She particularly loved this show as her whole family was involved! Tracy’s dad built the set, her mom sewed the costumes, and she played one of the mermaid sisters. She vividly remembers warming up for the production backstage, rehearsing songs with the mermaid sisters, performing at Scarecrow Fest in St. Charles, and attending cast parties after the shows.
Tracy now lives in Nashville, Tennessee where she practices music therapy at a medical center. After graduating from St. Charles North High School, Tracy earned her bachelor’s degree in music therapy from Belmont University. CTE taught her to be confident, hard-working, dedicated, creative, and to treat friends around her as family; she absolutely uses these skills in her life today.
Tracy was honored to be recognized in our alumni spotlight. She is sending a huge “break a leg” to all cast in the 2022 production of Seussical Jr.!
“To me, CTE means laughs, smiles, hard work, and friends that feel like family! Love ya, CTE!”
